Preparing a Form - Insert Image Field

When you 'prepare a form' in Adobe, can the image field be set to accept more than just .jpg - trying to insert .pngs but it comes up with an error. It works perfectly fine with .jpgs but it would mean always resaving images as .jpgs as the platform they are saved from only downloads them as .png. Is there a way around this?

.png is an acceptable file format for both Acrobat and Reader for this function.

@Yonita26029006jv5q I tried on my Acrobat Pro, and I was able to ''insert a PNG" through the 'Add Image,' with no problem. What version are you using.

Looks to be the most current version. I work for a co-operation and have the full Adobe suite which updates with every update. I can't work it out. I only get the error when trying to insert a .png

Have you tried with the "New Acrobat" disabled?  Press Ctrl + j and see if there are any errors in the console.

Maybe the file you are trying to import is corrupt.  Did you try importing another .png?  Can you screenshot the optons tab of your image field?

Yes, and this is a form that I'm creating for multiple people to use. Have tried the file on multiple computers - no problems at all loading in jpg - it just won't accept png on any computer. I've just downloaded a PNG from google and it's loaded fine. So it must be the file type I'm using. Thank you for all your help!!
