Hi, I need to print to a laser printer a 5th or 6th color separations in their original color, ex. PANTONE 186 C or what ever. Exporting a separation from acrobat produces a black and white version of the separation. I need this to be in color, no matter what color it is. It is most important to work from the file thats being printed, the pdf. Yes it comes from indesign but it is the final pdf that this sep needs to be printed from to aviaod any potential unforseen issues. Can anyone help? or point me in the direction of a plugin, or safe workflow to print sepas in color?
Thank you

In the Print dialog click on Advanced, and then change the Color option to Separations. This will allow you to enable/disable the CMYK inks for each print out.

What you want to print isn't actually a separation. Separations are always black and white, because they are used to make plates to apply an ink. I'm not sure there's a word for what you want, nor any software to make it.
