All of a sudden, pdf files (but not email or Word docs) are printing very blurry on my HP color laserjet.  It does not seem to be an issue with my printer.  Any tips on diagnostics/fixes?

In the short time since I made the initial post, a knowledgeable friend of mine did some looking online and suggested that I open a pdf, then go to File, Print and click the Advanced tab to see if the Print as Image box is checked. Mine was (although I myself never checked that box) and he told me to uncheck that box to see if the blurry printing issue was fixed. It was! Maybe that will work for you too.

What printer, what OS, what Acrobat version?

For blurry prints you only have 2 possibilities: Print as image with a low resolution or blurry scans.

the problem started when i installed acrobat dc . there never was a problem before. the files are printed again in the same printer with no problem with the other version of acrobat. i think it was acrobat 9. Now it seems as there is no compatibility with my printer. i printed with my daughters printer and it seems ok. but with my own it is blurred.

os windows 7

acrobat dc version 2018.011.20040

printer hp officejet 4500 G510g-m

of course i checked all thw ways (print as image and no image and there is no solution)
