Print to PDF is deleting files and not saving page orientations

I often combine pdfs that are different orientations and page sizes into one file by opening one pdf and using the "Organize Pages" to insert the other files.  Typically instead of a regular save, I use the print to pdf option in Adobe Pro and choose either portrait or land scape and fit so that when I save, the pages are all the same size and orientation, making the file easier to read in the future.

However, lately that feature has not been working.  Sometimes it simply saves the combined files in their original sizes and orientations.  Or more troubling, lets say I have file A open and add file B, then try to print to pdf using file B's name - in that case instead of saving, file B disappears from the folder.  How weird is that?  It goes thru the whole process as tho it is saving, but instead, the result is that the file deletes the file.

Why is this happening and how do I regain the previous results?

I am using "Acrobat Pro Continuous Release |  Version 2025.001.20474 | 64-bit" with Windows 11.

I've moved this from the Using the Community forum (which is the forum for issues using the forums) to the Acrobat forum so that proper help can be offered.

Hi @rebekah_5007

Sorry for the troubled experience.

Could you try recreating the issue while screen recording the complete workflow? Also, please share the file with us so we can test the behavior at our end.

In the meantime, you may want to check the Preflight route to resize the PDF file instead of using PDF Printer: https://adobe.ly/3HoS3To. The help document is for Mac; however, this is true to Windows as well.

Looking forward to the recording and the files.

~Tariq

Peru Bob,  thanks for moving this to the correct forum.

Tariq Ahmad Dar,  I tried to attach the screen recording you asked for, but it is way to large.  Instead, I'm putting it into this google folder and you can hopefully link to it.  https://drive.google.com/file/d/10vyaovzWHaf6uiv1qXmfcbQzJTqem5QC/view?usp=sharing

It shows that when I try to print to pdf under a new file name, that name does not save, and when I try to do it under an existing file name, that file disappears.

Oops, here's the pdf I show in that video.  It's the result of the landscape and portrait pdfs saved as one, but not not printed to pdf, which would have made them both portrait.
