printing different scale sizes of blueprints

New Here ,
Apr 12, 2023 Apr 12, 2023

so i go over a lot of blueprints at wotk. Doing so i come across some pretty large page sixes.

My question is; is there a formula to use or a setting or something to where if needed i could rudeuce the page sixw and still havbe the drawing be demensinally correct?

Example: Drawing is 48''X24'' page size and the scale used is 1/4''=12''. i want to make it smaller... ill choose 50% scale for simplicity reasons... you would think that after doing so everyhting would still measure the same just at .5 or "1/2" Of the original size or 1/8''=12''.

Unfornatley this does not work

This should work, assuming the original scale is correct and you are not using "fit to page" when printing. Also, your printer might be slightly off. Print something at a known size and measure it to confirm 100% print size is accurate, then print it at 50%, you may need to apply a correction factor to get an accurate resize, specific to your printer.
