Printing double sided from acrobat print backwards and upside down

Printing from Acrobat pro - double sided printing - prints even pages upside down and backwards. Text and pictures.

All documents - If printing from any other non adobe program printing the same pdf it will print fine.

Using official HP drivers and it pulls up the same dialog box from other applications and checked all settings they are the same but Acrobat is broken.

Works fine single sided printing but need double sided.

Updated Acrobat pro to newest version same issue.

Tried "print as image" option - still breaks it up and flips and reverses the text and image into chunks.

Other threads about the same issue mention uninstalling and reinstalling the 32 bit version. Thats not a real answer an neither is print single sided.

Hi there

Thank you for reaching out, and I hope you're doing well.

Regarding your query, Adobe Acrobat and Acrobat Reader both support double-sided (duplex) printing if your printer is equipped with this functionality. Please note that the printer settings and options for double-sided printing are controlled by the printer driver rather than the Acrobat or Reader software itself.

Here are some steps you can take to resolve this:

  1. Check Printer Driver and Firmware Updates:

    • Ensure that your printer driver and firmware are updated to the latest versions. Manufacturers often release updates to improve compatibility and fix bugs.

  2. Reinstall the Printer Driver and Firmware:

    • Uninstall the current printer driver and firmware from your system.
    • Reboot your computer to clear any cached configurations.
    • Reinstall the driver and firmware from the official website of your printer's manufacturer.
  3. Test Print Settings:

    • Try printing a different document or a smaller file to rule out issues specific to the PDF you’re using.
    • Ensure that the PDF file itself is not corrupted.

If the problem persists after following these steps, please provide additional details such as the exact printer model, Acrobat/Reader version, and the operating system you're using. This information will help us further troubleshoot and offer more targeted assistance.

Let me know how it goes.

Newest firmware of printer already installed - newest driver from HP tried and old and universal driver all same issue. Only affects Adobe products.

Uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Acrobat from computer same issue.

Its all multi page PDF's when printing double sided. Those same pdfs will print fine from Microsoft Edge or Chrome.

Windows 11 Newest version

Acrobat 2 different versions  same issue  currently running Adobe Acrobat (64-bit) 24.005.20320

HP LaserJet 500 colorMFP M570dn

Printing double sided works from all other programs correctly just not Adobe software.

Any suggestions? As listed above this is still an issue and I replied with all information requested 5 days ago.

No response but I did get a DM on here with a fake adobe tech support email. Does adobe just actively try to not help while enabling scammers?

Hello Amal,

I have done all of the above stated "fixes" and none have worked.

I see the original poster also did the same with no fix, is there anything else that is suggested or is there an issue with Adobe Acrobat that needs fixing internally?
