Adobe Acrobat 2020, version 20.005.30655

I'm having some problems printing in Adobe Acrobat 2020.  I have a .pdf file that I want to print to letter size, so I'm trying to "distill" it.  I've been using Acrobat since version 5 so I'm not sure whether this terminology is correct.  I've done this operation thousands of times in the past without problem.  Once I print to Adobe, the program asks to "Save PDF File As" and I enter a new file name in the same directory.  The "progress" box comes up and after a bit it says that all the pages were printed.  This is where my problem is.  The new file does not appear anywhere on my hard drive, nor does it open automatically as it used to.  I've also tried "repairing" the program from the Control Panel with no success.

Any thoughts?

Hi @bouriss81057875

Sorry for the delayed response and the troubled experience.

You may check the file properties to see if printing is allowed on the file. And you are right; most users call this printing process "Print to PDF" or "Print to PDF Printer."

Also, ensure that Acrobat is updated and there are no pending updates. To check for pending updates, launch Acrobat > Help > Check for Updates.

Let us know if you are still experiencing the issue.
