Printing symbols and different languages

I got an email back from support to just uninstall Acrobat pro and use the 2015 version.

This is stupid, I should never have to use an older un-safe version of something because they support team just said "yep uninstall it we can help".

Anyways, if anyone has an actual solution let me know. When I print document it prints out weird symbols and such like a different language.

I have tried re-installing all of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. This happened after he found a document and opened it in the PDF and printed it. I see weird fonts in the font page but when I try to remove fonts it says I only have two, so the prefrences and properties don't even match. I thought with a fresh install everything would go back to normal but it didn't...

Hi Mark,

As per the description given above, it seems that you have Acrobat 2015 as well as Acrobat Pro DC both of the applications. Is that correct?

The document print out you are referring above, is this an issue with a specific PDF file or all the files fonts appears to be weird?

What could be possible in this case-

1- This was a web PDF which was opened to view any web browser or Mac Preview. Due to which file is corrupted.

2- Fonts used to create the file, were not embedded correctly or not installed/found in the current system. So, missing fonts are resulting garbled text. You have to have the fonts installed on your system first.

3- Printer driver isn't updated. You need to install the latest printer driver.

Try the following suggestions and see if that makes a difference.

Thanks,

Akanchha

Hello Akki_24,

This is what it looks like, as you can tell some words and characters are in english, some reason certain areas of the paper where he typed are in this weird language. He is typing in english, this is also with multiple different files. So we know the files aren't corrupt. If it was an issue with fonts how is it that it happens to every file he gets now? The printer is using the latest drivers. The printer also can print these same documents in google chrome just fine no issues.
