Privacy settings?

New Here ,

I have been using Adobe Acrobat and Reader for while on my ipad and on my personal laptop. I just happened to open the app on my desktop pc and realized that all of my content can be seen by anyone using this pc. How do I enable privacy for my content? I need to enable privacy settings so that others who use my desktop PC do not have access to my private content. Thank you.

Since this applies to the iPad and your personal laptop, you need to check the settings on your devices and change them as needed. You probably should go the the iPad site and your computer's manufacturer's site or the site for your computer's OS and see how to set them for each device.

No, I may not have explained my issue clearly. It is not an iPad or laptop

issue. I have Adobe Acrobat on a desktop PC that, when opened, has all of

my content loaded and accessible to anyone using the PC. I do not see any

options on my ipad, iPhone or laptop to keep that content private. Can you

dig deeper and help me figure this out? Thank you.

How many others can sign in to your computer or i Pad using your userid?

If more than you, you have created a big security problem for yourself. Only you should be able to open PDFs in your userid folders unless you have given shared access to your userid account or folders.

With Acrobat you can assign open passwords to unprotected PDF files. But be aware not all PDF reading applications respect Acrobat's password protection. So your first and best line of defense is the security to your userid.
