Pro DC prepare form tool fails to detect some page

Hi, recently my Pro DC tool fails to detect some page in 10 page pdf doc converted from a word doc.

Do you know why?

The error message is pretty clear: This is a bad PDF. If you do have Adobe Acrobat Pro, you can run the sytax checker in the preflight tools to find out more about what's wrong with the file.

You may have to recreate either the whole document, or the one page in question (and then replace the corresponding page in your PDF with the new one). 

I almost never use the automatic form field detection: It gets too many things wrong, and I have to then fix all these problems. It's oftentimes faster to just start from scratch and have full control over form field names, types and where they go.

It looks like you found the syntax checker on your own. Based on the errors that show up, you may be able to fix that by removing all tags. This will remove the accessibility tagging, which will make the file inaccessible to screen readers and similar technology. You can do that by bringing up the tags navigation pane (View>Show/Hide>Navigation Panes>Tags - and then highlight the top level elment in the tag tree, right click and select to delete the tag. This will remove the whole hierarchy. After that, try again. And of course, as always, only do this on a copy of the original file.

Thanks for the info. If I just ignor the issue and add the missing fields on the current pdf form, is it fine for normal use?

Define "normal use" 🙂 Most likely it will be, but depending on what software you use to view or process the file.
