Acrobat seems to be getting stuck running in the background on my computer. This makes me unable to open and view PDF files. The solution I have found is to end tasks in task manager, which is becoming a hassle to say the least. Can someone tell me how I might be able to resolve this issue?

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that
What is the version of the Acrobat DC and the OS you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 23.06.20360 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.
Please try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.
You may also try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau... and check.
