Chrome: Version 60.0.3112.113 (Official Build) (64-bit)

IE: 11.1593.14393.0

Acrobat Pro: 11.0.22.0

It's been a while since I have problem printing web pages to PDF in Google Chrome. Here's a comparison of the pdf generated by Chrome (left) and IE (right). Can some one help resolving this problem?

Creating a PDF from any application is printing to a virtual printer. So what I would like to know: does the chrome page print correctly to a standard printer?

Now effectively I see a difference in the character coding. I do not quite understand what you are doing, and what your application is for, but you should change that UTF-8 to Ansi and Mix to PC. You have different character coding, so the pages are not equivalent. UTF-8 is a "new" coding method for representing non-American character sets (Japanese, Chinese but also less "exotic" languages). Ansi coding is the very old standard and can represent only American characters and some European language special characters.

Abambo,

I don't have a standard printer so I don't know.

With the screen shot, I was trying to show the 2 pdfs are different. Maybe it's not a good idea to use the file compare application. Maybe it is. Depending on the reader's experience with similar problem.

If I just open up the 2 pdfs and compare them in Acrobat Pro 11. There are subtle differences that are not easy to describe even with screen shots. But I'll try one: the Chrome pdf cannot search for any word but the IE pdf, words are searchable.

The web page contains only pure English characters - no other character coding involved.
