I want to recreate a photo album in a pdf. Here's what I've done: Scanned each page in album seperately. Open folder with all images in Acrobat. Organized the pages with oustide cover first followed by inside page and first page of photos. Created a pdf.
Opend the pdf, selected two-page view and show cover page. All is fine with outside cover page only. Scroll down, opens two pages, left half of screen is page 2 and right is page 3. All fine. Scroll down again and left is page 4 but right is still page 3. Scroll down again and it's left page 4 and right page 5. All the remaining page scroll down in the proper order.
for some reason, on that second scroll, page 3 is not replaced with page 5?
What am I missing?

Hi @rwpowell,
Thanks for reaching out. I understand how frustrating it can be when the page layout doesn’t match what you’d expect in Two-Page View, especially when reviewing documents like books or magazines.
What you’re seeing is actually controlled by a setting in Acrobat’s View menu. By default, Acrobat does not treat the first page as a cover page, which causes the two-page spread to start with Page 1 on the left — this can feel “off” for book-style layouts.
Here’s how you can correct that:
Open your PDF in Acrobat
Go to View > Page Display
Make sure the following are selected:
Two Page View
Show Cover Page in Two Page View → Make sure this is checked
This tells Acrobat to display Page 1 on its own (like a cover), and then start proper spreads from Page 2 - 3 onward.
Let me know if that resolves the issue for you. If you’re still seeing unexpected behavior even with that setting applied, we’d be happy to review a sample file.

Thanks for the info. However, I already have two page view and show cover page selected. I apologize if my description was confusing. Let me restate, again, I have in View/Page display both two page view and show cover selected.
1. when i open the pdf, the first page is displayed alone.
2. when I scroll down, a two page spread opens with page 2 on the left and page 3 on the right.
3. when I scroll down, a two page spread opens with page 4 on the left but page 3 is still on the right.
4. when I scroll down, a two page spread opens with page 4 on the left and page 5 on the right.
5. from now on, the two page spread continues with the pages in proper order, even on left odd on the right.
How do I get page 5 to come up in step 3?
thanks.

And, second post, here's another odd order. If i swith to single page view, here's what comes up while scrolling:
Open pdf with page 1, then
page 2
page 3
page 4
page 3 again
page 4 again
page 5
the rest are in order.
??? Is it how I created the pdf?

Ok. I can close this. After my last post I got to thinking about how i created the pdf in the first place. Seems like weeks ago when i first scanned the album and processed the images, I use Bridge. i also used Bridge to create the initial PDF. Then used Acrobat to order all the pages. From there the order did not work. I have now used Acrobat to include all the images and create a new PDF. That views as expected... Duh...
Sorry for confustion...
