problems reinstalling program

I have Adobe Acrobat 9 pro Swedish and have had a computer failure. When I go into my account to download the software and install it, everything goes well until I start the newly installed program. Then it asks for the serial number of a version further backwards, it is 15-20 years since I used it and I have no idea what serial number it was? How do we solve this?
