Hello,
I added some check boxes to an existing PDF and it seems that they don't work across all programs? For Example the form works perfectly on my mac when opening with Preview. But opening it on my PC using Adobe means the checkboxes work intermittenly. Also tried opening it with Google Chrome with my PC and the checkmarks are just black boxes. Yet the same form in Adobe DC on the same PC works fine.
I've attached the sheet here. Any ideas?

The attached form looks good in Acrobat. I checked the internal structure and it all looks correct. However, if you used the form on the Mac in preview and saved it, then it would be screwed up. Never use Apple preview to fill forms.

Which version of Acrobat DC was used to create your form?
Browser PDF viewers are mostly terrible with forms. Whenever possible, I prefer plain old HTML5 forms because they work in all devices and platforms. No special APIs or viewers required.

Hi Nancy,
I'm not sure which version of Adobe DC created the form (I exported it from Canva). Do you think it would be different if i created the form from scratch on Adobe DC? That was the main reason that I subscibed to this package, to create editable worksheets for clients.
Thanks for your help!
Kaysha

How do you intend to distribute your PDF forms to clients?
If you force clients to download PDFs and use Acrobat or FREE Acrobat Reader to open the files, you'll have more control over their experience.
If they go to your website to view PDFs online, 99% will use their browser's default PDF viewer out of convenience. As mentioned above, browser PDF viewers are not perfect.
