Question about Developing Dropdown List

New Here ,
Aug 30, 2024 Aug 30, 2024

I am preparing a form in Adobe, and one of the fields requests that the user identify their country of origin. The list that appears is a complete list of all countries - I'm hoping there's a way for us to add the feature that as the user begins to type the name, they can be navigated to where it appears on the list as opposed to having to scroll through all of the options. Is this possible, and if so, how do I do it?

Not really. It only works for the first letter. If they type "B" and then "E" it won't got to "Belgium", but to the first item that starts with "B" and then it will just to the first one that starts with "E".

It is possible, however, to filter the list based on a separate text field, though. You can do that using this (paid-for) tool I've developed: https://www.try67.com/tool/acrobat-create-live-filtered-list

The user would have to type the first letter, then either use the down arrow to access the rest of the list of countries that start with that letter, or continue to type the same first letter to go through the rest of the list of countries that start with that letter.
