"Keep tool selected" when inserting form fields - can you disable it in new experience?

I'm trying to learn the new experience and can't find how to do something. I know I can disable the new experience, but I'd like to know how to do what I need, if possible.

When inserting form fields, Acrobat classic had a pushpin icon in the toolbar called "keep tool selected." With that enabled, after choosing and inserting one form field, the tool stayed active so you could insert more fields. But you had the option to disable it and just insert one field at a time.

In the new experience, it seems the tool staying active to insert multiple fields is the default, and I couldn't find any way to turn it off. Can anyone help? Thank you!

I don't use the new "experience" but you can disable it by pressing the Esc key in the old UI, so maybe this will work?

Yes, I can disable the new experience, thanks. But I'm trying to find out if there's a way to do what I want by using the new experience. If anyone has figured it out, I'd appreciate the details.

I meant, diable "Keep tool selected" by pressing the Esc key.

Sorry I misunderstood what you meant. Yes, Esc works to turn it off. But then I need to Esc to turn it off each time I insert a field, which isn't efficient. I'm looking for the equivalent of the "keep tool selected" pushpin icon so that I can disable it altogether, until/unless I want to use it again. I don't see anything like that in the modern Acrobat. Maybe they removed it in their "improvements" to the software. Appreciate your help.

No problem.  I enabled the New Acrobat and clicked around to try to find it with no luck.  I also couldn't find a solution with a web search.  Very frustrating.  I'll add this to my list of reasons to not use the new "experience" and pray that they never remove the ability to disable it.
