I was trying to highlight some wording then save, and also encrypt, then save, and kept getting the error dialogue from Adobe Acrobat. Drove me nuts for 4 hours then figured it out....
In the Win10 Fall Creators update, there is a setting in:
Update & Security>Windows Defender>Open Windows Defender Security Center>Virus & Threat Protection>Virus & threat protection settings:
"Controlled folder access"
If this is turned "On", be sure to "Allow an app through Controlled folder access"
Add "Acrobat.exe" to the allowed apps.
Then it will work/save again.
