Random objects appear when I "add or edit a link"

Hi,

I am adding links to my flyer, but when I click to edit the page, a random object appears over one of the header images during the process of the document converting to editable text and images (although the text I am editing isn't anywhere near the header). I can't delete the random rectangle without deleting the whole background; it is somehow attached, but it isn't in my original Canva design (I created the flyer in Canva and downloaded it as PDF). The objects only appear when I attempt to edit the PDF.

Any ideas?

Hi @Lisa35654965btmi

Following up to check if you have found an answer to your question. Sorry for the delay in responding to your question.

Since PDFs aren't usually dynamic when you especially edit.

I assume these shapes are layers, and when you hit Edit PDF, Acrobat detects them as individual objects. I can give you more details if you share the file with us.

To give you a more straightforward explanation, it creates a bounding box that tells you these blocks can now be edited in some shape or form. You may also find it here in a screenshot on the help page: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/edit-text-pdfs.html

Let us know if you have more questions.
