I have lost trust in Adobe today. I was working on an excel wokrksheet and I wanted to send it to someone. I did not want to send the entire workbook only the sheet I was actively working on. So, I clicked "convert to PDF". i got a warning that I would only be alowed 1 excel to pdf conversion per 30 days. This annoyed me, but I looked over the worksheet and decided it was finished and so i clicked to convert it. It sked me to chose a file and listed my workbook as an option. I looked for some way to limit the conversion to the 1 sheet, but found no such option. So, I chase the workbook, hoping it would alow me to choose a worksheet option, but was not give such an option. Instead I ended up looking at a PDF of my entire workbook. I tried deleting pages but only got pop ups telling me I would need to join Adobe pro to do this. At this point I was more than annoyed, especialy wen I saw that wen the converted pdf pages did not correlate in such a way that when the data on a worksheet ended and the susequent worksheet's data were converted, the data was not started at the top of a new pge, which to me would be a natural thing toexpect. I ended up withthe data from 1 worksheet devided over 2 pdf pages. The 1 workseet that I wanted to convert, I had taken ime to format it so that if I were to print it the entire data set would fit on 1 printed sheet of paper. everytime I got popup about joining Adobe pro it angered me. Each popup made me feel dooped by adobe. Its like they purposefully ; 1) did not allow me to choose which worksheets I wanted cnverted, 2) put data from the end of 1 worksheet on the same pdf page as the begining half of a 2nd worksheet. If I chose to start a 2nd separate wrksheet in an excel workbook, then why would i not want that same separation in the form of 2 separate pdf pages? 3) to limit my conversion to 1/30 days and then not allow me to choose the specific worksheet as a data source 4) not allow me to alter the 1 pdf that is generated in a useful way 5) and then ask me to join/pay adbe $ when they have just given me insight as to how they are will not or cannot produce a usable document from an excel file. I have a pay monthly subscription to Adobe for photoshop 2025. I have yearly subscription to Microsoft Office. And now I am being asked to pay more for a unusable document?
What am I missing? What am I doing wrong? Is adobe that greedy? If I can not get 1 worksheet converted to a 1 page pdf document easily then I do not want to be teased into thinking it is a vable option worth considering! If I am forced to pay for subscriptions to access software instead of just urchasing software on a CD and installing it onto my computer like before then I should be able to use the software when I want, without a 30day limitation. After seeing the resultant product of my 1 and only chance in a 30 day period to convert my 1 excel worksheet formatted to fit on a standard leter sized sheet of paper, to a pdf of such a subpar quality and nn sensical layout only to then be told to pay more money to attempt to fix the document witout being given any indication that it is fixable is harshly insulting and is dishartening and unacceptable from Adobe. One of the photos that i am including shows pages 9 and 11 which are from the 1 excel worksheet that i wanted converted. why is page 10 in the middle of these pages? 10's other half is on page 8. my workbook has 3 worksheets. pages 1 - 7, I had no ntention of converting or printing and so I can excuse their messed up state to a large degree. but worksheet 2 is on 2 and possibly 3 pdf pages, and the same fo my 3rd and only worksheet i wasnted as a pdf is in the same unsorted state. The other photo i am posting is an exaple of the popup tryin to get me to agree to a free trial to use the features the may possibly correct this jumbled up mess. I am not agreeing to a free trial that will lkely be complicated to cancle when the offered features dont work.
Maybe my frustration is misdirected and blinding me from a simple fix so that I can have my 1 worksheet be a single paged pdf. If this is the case, plz set me straight!

Hi there,
Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out. I understand how frustrating this must have been for you, especially when you took the time to format your worksheet and expected it to convert exactly as you had arranged it.
From what you’ve described, there are a few important points to know about Excel-to-PDF conversions using Adobe’s basic (free) tools:
Single-sheet selection isn’t supported in the free converter – The online/basic “Convert to PDF” feature will convert the entire workbook, not a specific worksheet. The option to choose only one sheet is not built into the free tool.
Page breaks and layout come from Excel, not Adobe – If Excel isn’t set to print each sheet separately (with proper page breaks), the converter will merge them in the same PDF flow, which can cause the “half of one sheet, half of another” problem you saw.
Editing and deleting pages – Those options are part of Acrobat Pro. The free converter is “view only” and can’t rearrange or remove pages after conversion, which is why you kept getting prompts to upgrade.
1 conversion every 30 days limit – This is a restriction of the free web-based conversion service. It’s not in Acrobat Pro, but it is part of the free tier.
Try the steps below and check if that works for you:
This will create a one-page PDF of just that worksheet, with your formatting intact.
Hope this information will help
