Hello, I have a text box arranged behind an image. I've run OCR so that the text is readable and searchable. A control+F search does recognize the text. However, when I go to read the page aloud in Adobe, it says "Warning Empty Page" although there is text on the page, as evidenced by the control+F search. When I arrange the text box above the image, Adobe can read the text, but I DO NOT want the text box in front of the image. How can I get Adobe to read aloud text in a text box that is arranged behind an image?

Hi @sammalia
Thanks for reaching out.
When I arrange the text box above the image, Adobe can read the text, but I DO NOT want the text box in front of the image. How can I get Adobe to read aloud text in a text box that is arranged behind an image?
If the text lies behind the image, it won't be readable, as the image is considered primary content in the field, which hides the text. And that is why the text is placed over the picture; it's readable.
Just to double-check, Open Acrobat>Edit>Preferences>Accessibility> select "Read the entire document">OK
Thanks,

Hi @sammalia
Thanks for checking that.
Can you please share the sample file with us? We want to test the same on our end.
You can upload the file on Document Cloud web https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/home/ and share the link here.
