Hi,
I do not succeed to read a tagged PDF with read out loud on acrobat reader
I'm on windows 10.
I made this test with different documents
When i use reader :
with a tagged document : when i use the read out lout, i do not hear anything. But i can select the text
with the same non tagged pdf : the read out loud is working
When i use acrobat Dc pro
with a tagged document : the read out loud is working
with the same non tagged pdf : the read out loud is working
I tried on two different documents.
Do you know why the read out loud option is not working with reader and a tagged document?
Thanks,

Hi Sir
We have it in our planned work but as of now, sadly, there is no solution to it. Hopefully, we will have it soon.
Thanks

Hello Sir
This sounds weird because Read Out Loud has the ability to tag a PDF temporarily if it is not already tagged and read it. However, On Reader we have Protected Mode on by default which stops ROL from working.
Can you try going to Reader Preferences -> Security (Enhanced) and uncheck the option 'Enable Protected Mode at startup' and see if that makes ROL work on those files.
That said, can you also share any such file(s) - both the tagged and untagged versions of it so that we can look into the issue at our end.
Thanks
Vivek

Hi
Sorry for the late answer.
i tried to go to Reader Preferences -> Security (Enhanced) and uncheck the option 'Enable Protected Mode at startup' and see if that makes ROL work on those files.
It doesn't work
Can you explain me how to share the documents? do i have to send you a message?
Thanks
Ced
