Read Out Loud (Text-to-Speech) needs to be better. Sure, before AI exist, the old 1990 voice is alright but it has to sound better especially when people are paying a premium subscription per month. It should sound better and more natural.
The place where the voice is talking should at least highlight the word and there should be a button to know where it's at. The page should automatically scroll to where that is with a checkbox.
Some PDFs are super long as it's going to be hard to know where the location is.
Selecting different voices would be better.
There needs to be a way to set the page ranges like a printer so stuff is omitted when reading the whole thing such as the index and the end references.
There should be a way to read what is selected, not just the page or the paragraph only.

Dear Amal,
Has this request been sent to your engineering team? Acrobat (and Adobe in general) are WAY, WAY behind the times on this. The very robotic and non-human voice for the Read Out Loud feature is painful to listen to. It doesn't pause at the end of paragraphs and makes everything sound like a run-on sentence. I'm sure this was ground-breaking in 1980, but we are now in the year of our lord two thousand twenty-four!
