Reader users cannot save fillable form data

Created a fillable form in Acrobat Pro DC. Chose File/Save as Other/Reader Extended PDF/Enable More Tools (includes fill-in and save). Emailed PDF to a Reader user. User can fill in form fields, but cannot save the filled-in document. What am I missing?

For Acrobat Reader DC you don't need the reader extension.

They fill in the form, save the form, reopen it, and the fields are blank.

No error message? Nothing? Make sure they saved the form to their local computer and are opening it in Reader, and not anything else.

Apologies to all who contributed. After wasting nearly an entire day of trying to determine the culprit … all users were opening the PDF in Chrome vs. Reader. The form was fine all along. Very sorry for the inconvenience.
