Reading Barcode from PDF Document

I am new to Adobe SDK development so please excuse me if I am asking a dumb question. Can someone help me get the answers?

1. PDF document contains the barcode. Is it programmatically possible to read the barcode from the document?

2. Do I need to have Acrobat license or Adobe SDK license?

3. Is there a C# sample code available to test the barcode read?

Hi, Acrobat doesn't support barcode reading.

Is the barcode a field or just an image? If the latter, it's not possible, as was mentioned.
