Recent and Starred File lists are empty after restart

After restarting laptop and opening Adobe Reader, both lists of Recent and Starred files have vanished.  How can these be restored?

Sorry for the delayed response and troubled experience. 
If you open cloud-stored files and they do not appear in the recent list, we know about this issue, and the product is working on fixing it.

However, if you open PDF files stored locally on the device, they should be visible in the recent list. Ensure you are signed in to the app with the same Adobe ID that was used before. 

If you’re still experiencing this issue, I encourage you to share any additional details or steps that led to the problem. This will assist us in diagnosing and fixing the issue more effectively.
