For the last 3 or 4 automatic updates my recent files and starred files lists have emptied. Has anyone else noticed this behavior?
It is really annoying since I then need to go and create new links to documents that were "starred" moments ago.

Turn off the automatic updates.Consider the "new Acrobat" as a beta version, many features are still missing or half-implemented.

Sorry for the troubling experience.
We are aware of this issue, and the product and engineering teams are triaging it. Also, it is not advised to turn off automatic updates. Adobe doesn't recommend that.
