Recent Update Has Destroyed Functionality

The most recent Acrobat update has me in tears.

Nothing is where it used to be, so I'm struggling do to even basic tasks that I once did with ease.

Some of the tools don't function properly ... or at all.  For example, when I use the circle tool to circle something on the document, I see a box showing the circle being drawn and see the options to change its appearance.  But the circle never shows up on the page.

I desperately want Adobe to restore the earlier version of Acrobat.

The best thing you can do is to revert to the old UI. However, some of the releases do not let you do this, so if you do not see what you need to see, perhaps you can revert back to the older version from the ACC app.

Meanwhile, follow the instructions provided here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/why-change-everything/m-p/13890464#M417114 Note, that you'll need to scroll to the answer to get the full instructions.

Thank goodness there is a way to restore the older version.  The new version had me in tears all day.  It is horrible.  Adobe should never ever do this to customers again.
