Recovered PDF doc - as a TMP File - How do I open??

New Here ,
May 20, 2024 May 20, 2024

I had added 2 hours worth of comments to a PDF and had left document open (to continue working throughout days...).  My computer rebooted overnight and I lost the PDF and no option to recover or I totally missed it.  (Autosave was not on!)

I downloaded "EaseUS Data Recovery" and found a "TMP" I believe may be the pdf document, the names is strange all #'s & letters, but the size seems right on.  I recovered and saved.  But I cannot open in Adobe - error below - I'm desperate.  Any thoughts??  Even if I can just recover my comments.  I've tried changing the tmp to pdf - Thank you

Try changing the file extension to .pdf and then open it. If it still doesn't open view it in a plain-text editor (like Notepad). The first couple of lines usually provide an indication as to the file type.

I too have the same issue, and I tried changing the file's extension to .pdf, but it doesn't change. It is still in .tmp format. It is not opening. Please tell me what I should do.
