Does anyone know why a fillable Adobe Acrobat form I have created is turning the field into solid red blocks when it is populated through an online form system? Here is an example of the output file at the top and the file in Adobe at the bottom, as you can see, not all fields are affected, so not sure why some are red and some are not? It feels like this is to do with the document rather than the form system and I believe it only happens to fields that are not being populated, if they are populated they are not red

Can you check that the properties are not making the field red (unlikely) or if the fields are set as mandatory, they could highlight like this until valid data is entered.
Check what settings you can access to format mandatory fields.

Thanks for your reply, these are the settings, it is not set as a required field in Adobe, the fields in the form system will be mandatory, but they are hidden unless needed, so I dont think it is that, also there are other similar fields that are not showing as red which are also mandatory on the form

On further investigation, it seems to be that the red boxes are from look up lists on the form software and the ones that are not doing it are text fields on there. All the fields in Adobe are text, but it seems to not like the field being left blank for look up lists?
