I created an interactive form and tested it. I want to publish the form but I cannot remove the information that I populated in the fields as test data. If a person tabs through the fields, the test data I used shows up. Redacting does not remove the information. It populates the fields. Help please!
There is another possibility, I realise - that it's not in the form at all, but it's autocompleting.

Did you edit or fill this form in any non-Adobe software (like Apple Preview, to give an example) anywhere along the way? Unless the file is broken there are no hidden values to pop-up when you tab into a field. If you did do this, the safest thing is to go back to the backup you took before you did that.
Redaction removes visible information; it seems this broken information is not visible.

Just export from InDesign again to make a clean form. When you fill in a form (test or live) it will save the data with it (but it should be visible on open, not on tab - this is why I wonder whether you were actually testing in Acrobat. Check that out, it will cause a lot of pain.

The Auto-Complete data is saved on your computer only, it's not a part of the file.
If you send it to someone else they will not see what you're seeing.

Have you tested the form on a other system?

Thank you everyone! I checked the preferences and I had the 'auto complete' checked. With that unchecked, all was good with the form. Really appreciated everyone's input and I have learnt a lot. Appreciate this forum, for sure!!
