Upon applying my redactions, more areas all over the page are blacked out and I can't figure out why. I have re-saved the file original file and disabled the security features and it still does the same thing.
Any thoughts on why this is happening?

Same issue for me.
Workaround: the black areas that covers the pages are Redaction marks, so you can click them with the Readact tool to delete them.
