Pretty much as the title. after selecting what to redact pressing the apply button opens a small grey window with a circular blue icon that spins indeffinately.
any suggestions greatly appreciated, the machine is on a domain I have tried using a domain admin account as well as a local admin account to rule out permissions and Group policy restrictions, I've resinatlled creative cloud and adobe multiple times.

Please try repairing the application installation. In Acrobat, go to Help > Repair Installation (Windows only).
Try rebooting the machine once.
If that does not help, would you mind sharing more information on the issue?
- Did you check if the issue occurs with all the files?
- Did it start recently?
- Share the Acrobat and OS version numbers.
It would be helpful if you could share the screen recording with us.
