Replace text and insert text edits transposed

I am editing a PDF in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, v. 2015.020.20042, on Mac OS 10.11.6
When I attempt to replace text by selecting and then typing, or when I attempt to insert text by typing at the cursor, the first two letters that I type are transposed in the comment box.
Every.
Single.
Time.
If I type more than two letters, the intended first letter gets pushed to the end. For example, if I type the correction, "Ah," I get "hA" in the comment box. If I type "Hah," the result is "ahH".
I've noted this problem in earlier versions but haven't edited a PDF in almost a year. No doubt there is something about my particular set-up that is conflicting with Acrobat, but I can't believe I'm the only one.
I have 96 edits remaining in the document. Thanks, Adobe.

Are you talking about actual edits to the file (should be avoided as much as possible), or about adding comments to the file?

For me it is when commenting. I have not tried actual editing. But if I decide to change "abc" to "def", for example, and I double-click on "abc" and start typing, I will get "efd" when typing "def". The insertion point is always placed *before* the first character typed, not after. This also happens if I don't select text, but just start typing to insert (again, via commenting).
This is on a Mac running Sierra (10.12.1) with Acrobat DC build 15.20.20042.205528. This happens on every document, as the original poster said, every time, and persists across reboots.

jcbeckman has described the problem as it exists for me--it's during commenting. After I type each first letter in a comment, I have to hit "right arrow" to move the cursor or the letters will be transposed.
It is astonishing that such a bug can exist for more than six months and not be addressed. And according to the other thread, Adobe is aware of it. The only reason someone really needs Acrobat, as opposed to Acrobat Reader, is for the review process. And this bug makes the commenting part of the review process infuriating.

I'm pretty sure this was fixed at one point, but it has most definitely come back.
In this video, I select the word "test" and type "replace" but the comment says "eplacer".

Also appears this major annoyance still exists: You can't double click to select a word for commenting. You MUST drag to select or the comment tool doesn't work. Y'know what else works? Acrobat XI. Downgrade to last year's version for maximum efficiency 😕
