I have a 100 page PDF file of letter size (8.5x11) pages. I want to transfer them to legal size pages (8.5x14) so that they are at the bottom of those legal size pages so that I'll have 3 inches of empty space at the top of each page that I can use to place a stamp onto. How can I do this?

Hello @Cliff Thier,

If you have Acrobat Pro you cann create a custom preflight profile with custom fixups to enlarge the pages...See the screenshot below.

Thank you Mike.

I'm afraid I didn't properly describe my problem. I have PDF pages that show within the parameters of a letter-size page (8.5x11). I want those pages to be legal size (8.5x14) with the image size unchanged and the bottom of those images "sitting" at the bottom of the legal-size pages--thereby giving me 3 inches of unused space at the top of each of the legal-size pages.

I don't want to enlarge the images.

(Also, I am using Acrobat DC for the Mac. When I went to the Preflight menu the window I was greeted with was different from that you showed me.)

Hello @Cliff Thier,

The custom preflight profile with custom fixups with the settings shown in the screen does exactly what you're looking to do leaving the image size unchanged, see the examples below....

Before:

After:

When you go to Preflight menu you have to go to the fly-out menu "Options" in the upper right corner and follow the  steps below.

1.

1.png

2. Give the profile a name and select the custom fixups under that profile.

3.

Afer this is setup hit OK to get back to the main preflight window.

Select and run the the preflight profile by clicking on the analyze and fix button and the three inches of white space will be added to the top of each page in the document.

Mike

Thank you, Mike,

I'm getting closer. When I choose "Options" I get a menu that looks very close to what you showed--but instead of "Create Profile," I get "Create Fixup."

I'm guessing that I need to first make some additional selection or check some box so that that Options menu shows "Create Profile."

Hello @Cliff Thier,

Switch the Preflight option to Essentials then you'll be able to continue from there...

Thank you, Mike.

That works great.

One other question that perhaps you can answer:

I want to

(a) put a "Stamp" at the same location on each page (see attached); and

(b) have Acrobat put consequtive Bates numbers in each one.

Unless it's possible to do those two things in one pass.

Can you let me know how I can accomplish these two results?

Thank you.

Cliff
