I work with Acrobat X at home but at work, they use DC.  After drawing an oval or rectangle, I am not able to rotate it like in Acrobat X.  There is no handle and hovering over any of the points doesn't bring it up.  Any suggestions?

Hello eng1sag

Sorry for the delay in response to your query and apologize for the inconvenience caused. Please refer to the KB doc to know more about rotating an object Edit images or objects in a PDF, Adobe Acrobat

You may also refer to No rotation handle on objects (Edit PDF)

If you still don't get the rotate handle under the Edit PDF>Obejct, please check for any pending updates of Adobe Acrobat from Help>Check for updates. Reboot the machine once after the installation of updates and see if this bring any changes.

Let us know how it goes.

Regards,

Anand Sri.

Hi Anand,

Thank you for the information. I don’t really care for the DC version. Like XI and know how to use it. Would really like to be able to rotate the ovals as some objects I’m trying to circle are not vertical or horizontal. Hopefully Adobe can make an update for this.

Which, of course, is pathetic. Abode's had so many chances to add a simple feature like this. It shouldn't be a mystery for them since you can do it in Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.

Right up there with the garbage interface on Acrobat DC, the missing functions that used to be available in the drop-down menus, inability to toggle Bookmarks to not open on startup, no way to turn off fort and size metadata for copied and pasted text, the removal of the rotate page tool from Acrobat Reader, and the almost-hidden interface for editing the Quick Tools that looks like it was desgned by a preschooler. Good job Adobe!
