We are running Adobe Acrobat DC Standard (Laterst Version) 32 Bit on Terminal Server 2019 (actual patch status). We have installed a plugin in Adobe to contral Acrbat out of our application (32 bit) to open and display pdf files and to create e.g. hyperlinks.
Partialy users are struggeling with the error message "RPC Server is not available". we already checked what can be found in the internet regarding this issue, but nothing helped. we are realy suffering with his issue.
The last time when the issue occured we switched of the automatic update and then it worked, but now again the error message.
we checked the correct login
we checked the rpc service. the are running properly (DCOM Server Process Launcher, Remote Procedure Call (RPC) and RPC Endpoint Mapper)
we checked in the firewall "Remote Assistance" which is activated
we checked the network settings to ensure File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks and Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) are enabled
we checked and compared the registry setting HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\RpcSs
Acrobat is configured with the following key settings:
PDF/A mode - Never
show online storage (all 3 settings) OFF
Enable Protected Mode at startup - OFF
Fast Web View - On
Automatic Update - OFF
Any idea what else could cause this issue? The error appears only for single justes other users can work on the Terminal Server using Acrobat.
Is this issue related maybe to text searches in Acrobat, login / Multiple logins on different systems, memory, cash, and setting in Acrobat?
