RTF to PDF - Large File Issue - Adobe Community

Any idea on why PDF conversion of a large RTF file (>100MB) is taking longer when done in Acrobat Pro DC (32bit) [~ 1 hr] vs Toolbox Add-In (32bit) [~22 mins]? Also I tired using the 64bit instance - am unable to convert it from Acrobat Pro DC (seems to launch Word in the background but get stuck for a long time) but am able to print to PDF in MS Word (64bit) using the Acrobat Printer option in about 25 mins.

Any suggestions on how to expedite conversion of large RTF files to PDF?
