I prepare form the same form over and over. I have to format the four boxes, (same) for each form. Is there any way to save the formating on the prepare form as the default. (keep the date box the same size for every form, shrink the date block and stretch the text block)

OR group the four boxes, copy and save on a blank document to paste to the next form?

I cannot use autodetect, too many entries are created.

Why are you creating the same form over and over? There is definately a better way to do this. As Bern suggests one method is to copy the fields from a previous form you've created.

Another option is to create a script that adds the form fields at the touch of a button.

How do you create a script?  Does that require additional software?

If you have Acrobat Professional, then you have the ability to create scripts. Specifically, Acrobat uses JavaScript as the core language for it's scripting engine.
