Scanning At 300 DPI?

I have my scanner set to scan at 300 dpi and Adobe Acrobat DC pro set to scan at 300 dpi in the greyscale mode.  But my documents are being scanned at 150 dpi.  When I set my scanner and Adobe to scan at 600 dpi, the resulting scan is scanned at 300 dpi.  Why?

Scanner is Raven Pro.  Documents are bank statements and correspondence.

Could you please share the details to reproduce the issue from our end: OS version of your machine, scanner name, and build version of Acrobat Pro.
