Script to modify the PDF tags

I am trying to manually remediate a document which is a table spread over more than 100 pages. Is there any way I can write a script to remediate the table based upon some conditions that I set? I was thinking to code this in python, if this is possible do you guys have any library suggestions?

Not possible with a script, unless it can be done using the Preflight tool, in which case you can use the script to run the Preflight Profile that does it.

Can I edit table tag structure using this? If so can you provide some documentation for it?
