Yes, you can do this using a functionality 'Run OCR in Multiple files'.

- Launch Acrobat and Go to Tools> Enhance scan

- Click the link "Or recognize text in multiple files"

- Click "Add files" option at top left corner of dialog

- Select suitable option files/folder or opened files

- Select all the documents you need to run text recognition

- In "output option" dialog select folder where you want to save and name of output files and click OK

- In "Recognize Text - General settings" window, select language and "Output" as "Searchable Image Exact" and Ok

It will run OCR on all the files and save them at the location you selected. Hope it saves your time and helps you better.

Thanks.

Hello lovekeshgarg,

is it possible to select a folder that checks in real time if new files were added into a chosen desktop folder and then automatically transfers the file to a searchable image file? We would like to automatize that process and don`t want to do it manually. What would be a solution?

Thanks for the help

It would be perfect if creative cloud folder could convert files directly into OCR files. Do you know anybody who can script/programmate that?

Hi Adrian,

About the only thing I can come up with is two folders: one that receives the files that need to be OCRed, and the other that have had that done.

It wouldn't be automatic but it would be very easy to know what files have been processed and which have not.
