Lately, me and some of my co-workers have had a trouble with PDF. We receive PDF files from external people on which we are asked to comment. After we have put our comments, we save the file like we usually do. But then the problem starts, when reopening the document to continue working, the option 'comments' is no longer available. After checking the securty settings, it turns out that in the beginning, all is allowed, but after saving, nothing is allowed anymore.
these are the security settings before saving
and these after saving
I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and if there is a suitable solution?

Hi @DBIN10
Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that.
Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all of them? Please try with a different PDF and check.
What is the workflow/steps you do to comment and save the PDF? A small video recording would be very helpful. Also, please share the PDF in question, so we can check it at our end.
What is the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 23.01.20093 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.
Also, try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.
Please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau...
You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Win or enable the root account in MAC and try using the application there and check.
Regards
Amal
