My system crashed so I needed to re-install everything including my Adobe Creative Cloud products. I made arrangements to use Adobe Acrobat X Pro instead of the DC version and it is the program I use. When the tech sent me to the download page and I got it on my system the program asked for a serial number. I don't remember having to have one in the past and checked my mail program to see if I had one from the past and am not finding anything. The tech suggested I come to you with the issue.
How do I get or recover the serial number?

Acrobat Pro X always had a serial number. Only subscription products do not.
If it was part of Creative Suite, some versions used the Creative Suite serial number.
Basically, if you buy software you are actually buying the serial number, and if you've lost it, that's probably the end of that. But here are some things you can try:
- did you register it? If so it may be in your account details.
- did you buy it direct from Adobe? If so they may have a record from the sale.
Creative Cloud licenses do NOT give any automatic right to run older versions of apps, so you would need to have previously had an Acrobat X license from somewhere.
Get ready! An upgraded Adobe Community experience is coming in January.
