I just recieved a new Surface Laptop 7th edition running windows 11 and old outlook. When I hit share button it will not open a window in outlook to send as an attachment or a link. This is a serious hinderance of my productivity. I have gone through all of the obvious fixes within preferences>email> ... etc. No joy. Unable to get anywhere with Adobe support.

My IT installed Adobe Acrobat Distiller on my computer, I had to change that I want the document to download as a PDF, but I can now use the share button. I don't have to save the document then attach it to the email.

That's good to know. Thank you for sharing. I am getting such a runaround and such unprofessionalism from Adobe. They keep telling me that the problem is on Microsoft. I spent hours with Microsoft wiping my laptop and reinstalling everything which did not resolve the problem. TOTAL WASTE OF TIME!!! Despite all this effort and the hours I have spent dealing with this, TODAY adobe again told me that the problem is with Microsoft. Glad you IT has a brain!! Adobe should give him/her a bonus for figuring out a fix when their engineers cannot figure it out!

Update: I was supposed to have another call with Adobe at 9:30 am EST. They never called. This is so unprofessional.

If you can install Adobe Acrobat Distiller yourself, you may try it. When you click on the icon to open the document, it will not be in PDF format. If you use chrome copy and past this into the search bar: chrome://settings/content/pdfDocuments?search=pdf
It will open up to this below. Orginially it will be selected to Open PDF's in Chrome, select download PDF's. This way when you click on the document it will automatically open as a PDF. When you click on share it will automatically attach to the document. My email is donna.harrison@texarkanacollege.edu if you want to email me. I have had no problems using the share button now.
