Shared and can't access edit tool.

After I share a document out to someone I can longer access the edit tool. It's greyed out. Help?

Hi,

Hope you are doing well.

If we understand this correctly, then you are trying to edit the document after initiating the Shared review. 

Once the document is sent out for shared review or comment, you can only add comments to it or use other commenting tools like Highlights, Strikethrough, etc. 

Editing the original PDF content would not be allowed. Hence, the option is greyed out.

Is there not a way to share it and have all parties it's shared with continue to edit? Without this active collaboration is much more difficult.
