Simple formula creates trailing zeros

I've created a simple formula for an order form. When I enter an even-numbered quantity the result is correct, but when I enter an odd-numbered quantity the result adds innumerable extra zeros!

Format field with 2 decimals.

In field properties under ' format' tab select 'Number' and how much decimal places you wish. You can also select currency sign there.
