Single line into Multiple form fields?

New Here ,
Sep 18, 2019 Sep 18, 2019

Is there a simple way in Acrobat Standard 2017, to create mulitple fields (text boxes) on one solid line when using the Prepare Form tool?

Such as:

sample.PNG

This example was created using multiple cells in excel first and had white division lines between the columns.  It will create the multiple fields this way.  BUT, if we have a large existing form with long lines which are not pre-divided, is there anyway that Acrobat can do this for us?

I'm assuming you mean when automatic form field recognition is turned on.  No.

Automatic form field recognition is kind of hit or miss. You can, however, use the tools to easily create the first field, then hold down the duplicate modifier key (depends on your OS) the shift key (to constrain the drag to 45 degree angles) and drag a duplicate of the field to the right, grab it's right side handle to adjust the width, then repeat that process across the line. The heights and vertical alignment will then all be exactly the same and take very little time to create.
