SLOW, SLOW, SLOW LOADING ACROBAT

New Here ,
Nov 10, 2024 Nov 10, 2024

I am using Creative Cloud and Acrobat Pro on a W11 Pro, 64bit Dell AIO PC since last Novenber. In the last 2 or so weeks, not only is Acrobat extremely slow to launch, but double clicking on a PDF simply to read it, takes anywhere up to a minute or longer (sometimes not at all) to load. There have been no other changes nor any other new software to this PC in this timeframe. Can anyone please guide me as to how toi fix this version of "Molasses" Acrobat?

TIA.

That is an issue on your PC, not with Acrobat. I do not yet know what causes this issue, but I have it on one of my computers, too. Drag and drop for opening a PDF file is blistering fast, only when I double clikk the file, I have issues. You can check with doubble clicking other file types, like a Word file. That should also have slowed down.

I'm having the same problem, and it's not a computer problem, ALL of my other programs open just fine ONLY loading a PDF with adobe is slow. Hopefully someone can help us.

ooo I looked a little more after I posted that and then I found this.

You might want to try the following:

Go to Preferences-> Security (enhanced)-> uncheck the option "Run in AppContainer."

Once done, restart the app.

Seems a little bit faster for me now.

Hello Alland thanks fot your responses. In the end, I contacted (by chat) Adobe's help desk aand the remoted into my PC. I watched as they went to Task Manager, stopped EVERY Adobe process, uninstalled CCloud, Acrobat and PShop, then did a clean install and problem solved. The associate who helped me was excellent! Thanks again!.

I am having the same problem this week with Adobe Extension no matter the browser.  Many programs use browsers to preview before downloading and it fails more often than not this week. Plus the AdobeSign website fails to load as well most of the time. Huge headache
