Hi all,
I have muliple documents that need to be uploaded to a website after they're finished being used for record keeping and archiving. Before doing this, sensitive info such as bank accounts and TFN's must be redacted. Using the function to search for key words brings up the areas, however it obviously doesn't hisghlights the box next to it e.g. it highlights the words "Tax file number" or "TFN" but not the TFN itself in the text box next to it.
Is there a way to have the redaction tool recognise the fields after things such as TFN, banking details, etc? Bonus points if it can be completed for all PDF's within a folder at once!

This can probably be achieved either by creating a custom Redaction pattern or a custom-made script to identify those texts and redact them. Either way, it will require knowledge of Regular Expressions, and/or Acrobat JavaScript.
The former option is more suited if you have very large files. The latter is more suited for shorter files, but it's also more dynamic. Both can be used as a part of an Action on multiple files, assuming you have Acrobat Pro.
If you're interested in hiring someone to develop either one of these options for you, feel free to contact me privately to discuss it further. To do so click my user-name and then on "Send a message".
